On the ship, there is always someone to chat with or play a game with. People will help you with your chores and support you when you feel overwhelmed. You live together so intensely that people start to feel like family. Whenever we see each other now, we pick up right where we left off. I still talk to some of the people of my group every day!

I look back on the spectacular journey with warm feelings. From the moment we stepped on board to the last hug goodbye. I have experienced beautiful moments en learning experiences I still benefit from. In the busy and crowded life back at home, I sometimes long for those quiet night watches with just me, my friends and the stars on the open ocean. Talking, sailing the ship and counting the stars.

An entire schoolyear sounds like a long time, but it was over before I knew it.
